The 16th Annual Congress of the Iranian Coloproctology Association was held from March 2nd to 4th at the National Library of Iran.

The Iranian Coloproctology Association has been bringing together practitioners in this field for many years. This event is the largest annual gathering of colorectal surgeons and related scientific disciplines in the country. In the 2023 congress, specialists from all over the country gathered in Tehran for three days to discuss and exchange ideas on the latest scientific developments in this field. The main focus of this congress was on “Technology in Coloproctology” with an emphasis on up-to-date knowledge.

The scientific program of this congress included lectures, panels, and scientific debate sessions that were selected to be valuable not only for colorectal surgeons but also for general practitioners, specialists, fellows, and subspecialists in other medical fields, as well as nurses in scientific branches related to coloproctology.
