The 18th International Congress of Minimally Invasive Surgery was held on 11 Mehr 1402 for three days at Tabriz Petrochemical Complex.

This congress witnessed the presence of a large number of surgical specialists in Tabriz and resulted in many scientific exchanges. Because different disciplines in the discussion of minimally invasive surgeries are involved and with the alignment and cooperation of different surgical groups under the supervision and guidance of prominent surgeons of the country, as well as the presence of experienced professors and young surgeons, it provides the opportunity to analyze new scientific materials and debatable issues in the form of lectures and in scientific roundtables and be analyzed.

The scientific secretary of the congress stated that the purpose of this congress is to increase and improve the level of knowledge and familiarity of surgeons, especially young surgeons, with new methods of minimally invasive surgeries. Famous and experienced professors from the whole country and a number of centers abroad are also present in this congress.

He added: The target groups of this congress include general surgery and its sub-branches, including thoracic surgery, pediatric surgery, trauma surgery, colorectal surgery, and bariatric and metabolic surgery. Also, Gynecology, Otolaryngology, Urology and Anesthesiology are participating in this congress and will present their specialized articles and panels.

The scientific committee of this congress, in cooperation with the International Surgery Association, has planned for the presence of more than 100 domestic speakers and video communication with speakers living abroad, including America, Switzerland, Germany, and France, about 8 months before the event, and made the necessary preparations. had seen

In this congress, more than 150 submitted articles and speeches were reviewed by the scientific committee and finally 100 speeches and eight round tables and panels were selected.

Another important point was the continuing medical education that was planned for this congress. The large presence of professors and researchers of our country in this scientific forum was undoubtedly the most important reason for the high scientific level of the congress.
